Fresh breads, pastries, cookies, bars and empanadas are what Stella's Bakery has sold at the DCFM since 1988. But, most people know Stella's for that hot and spicy cheese bread. Max Harn, who manages the bakery, hollers to the crowd on Saturdays, "Who's the hungiest?" Max Harn was once a truck farmer in Berlin, Wisconsin, who came to the DCFM to sell his fresh produce. He began introducing bakery products from family recipes, especially his Jamaican grandmother, Stella.
